9: 30 a.m. Forum: Ken Lyons will present Service Dogs of Florida,
which offers dignity, hope, and independence by providing highly
trained and skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities.
There are few things more heart-warming than giving someone a
level of independence they didn't have before. A service dog has a
profound, positive impact on a person's life! Come and meet Ken
Lyons and his special canine friend.

Reality” We all put so much emphasis on “reality,” but do we ever
wonder where it comes from? Did it arise full-blown with the creation
of the universe or did we make it up?

28. This historic novel tells the story of Mamah Borthwick Cheney,
best known as the woman who wrecked Frank Lloyd Wright's first

Science Group Program on Earth 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29
From the Teaching Company's series, “The Nature of Earth,” the
following lectures will be presented at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday: 1. Soils
and the Clay Minerals, and 2. Climate and the Type of Soils. Anyone
interested in the rain forests of South America will find this quite

Philosophers Den Program on the Mind 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 25
At 4:00 p.m. on June 25, he Philosophers’ Den at UUFMC will be
viewing “Lecture 9 “Self-Identity and Other Minds” and Lecture 10
“Perception – What Do You Really See” of The Teaching Company
series “Philosophy of the Mind: Brains, Consciousness and Thinking
Machines.” It is taught by Prof. Patrick Grim of SUNY-Stony Brook.
This is about how we think, and how we think about thinking.

9:30 a.m. Forum: Ruth Deussen will present “The Axial Age,” an
exciting, pivotal time in history from 800 to 200 BCE, when the
spiritual foundations of humanity were set simultaneously and
independently in China, India and the Occident.
10:30 a.m. Service: “Angels in our Midst” examines how David
McElroy had gone through his life as a spiritual person, but never
really examined the spiritual beings around him. In 2004, David was
with his sister when she died of cancer. A few days before her
passing, there was a prevalence of angels and spiritual beings
around her. Because of this profound revelation, he has continued
his journey through writing and talking about the angels in our midst.
Marylin Fermanich will sing “Angel” written by Sarah McLachlan.
